Ron Cass

Ron Cass, Founder & CEO of Big River

Ron Cass has lived and breathed nonprofit development for nearly 10 years. Prior to entering the nonprofit space, Ron developed large-scale forecasting models for business and government applications. He later led the development of new products in process optimization and business intelligence markets. In 1997, Ron joined CA Technologies as VP of Development, where he served as a product line manager for IT management solutions. In 2010, he founded Big River Online to help nonprofits grow their online giving.

Today, Ron works closely with some of the nation’s largest nonprofit organizations ranging from universities and food banks to museums and more to held them enhance and grow their fundraising efforts. He and the Big River team partner with advancement directors, development officers, and other fundraising leaders to create giving solutions that make a meaningful impact for their respective nonprofits.

Patrick Ertle

Patrick Ertle, VP of Business Development & General Counsel

Patrick J. Ertle, Esq. joined Big River in 2018 and brings more than 25 years of executive level experience to his new role. Patrick taught theology at St. Ignatius High School while pursuing his law degree and went on to serve as general legal counsel for 21 corporations of the Cleveland Catholic Diocese. For the past 15 years, he directed numerous development teams and programs at several Cleveland nonprofits including the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, University Hospitals Health System and John Carroll University.

Patrick has been a licensed attorney in the State of Ohio since 1990, earning his juris doctor degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, and a bachelor’s degree in classical languages and English literature from Borromeo College of Ohio. He has served on the board of directors for 21 corporations of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, St. Ignatius High School, St. Augustine Academy, and L’Arche Cleveland as well as the BNY-Mellon National Charitable Advisory Council and St. Edward High School Development Advisory Committee. He and his wife, Susan, reside in Lakewood and enjoy spending time with their four children and four grandchildren.

Patrick Antos

Patrick Antos, Director of Customer Success

Patrick has experience with COSE/OHTec IT industry members and the broader IT industry in the region. He has 10 years of experience in education, talent management, and consulting services. Along with his many years of experience, Patrick is affiliated with many organizations in Northeast Ohio dedicated to helping build a strong talent pool in IT for the future.

Patrick received his undergrad degree from Cleveland State University in Journalism and Promotional Communication and his graduate degree from Gonzaga University in Organizational Leadership.
